What’s the Superhero Company? It’s certainly not a company made up of comic superheroes although there’s a lot similar. Our understanding of business is that which is focused on satisfying customer needs.
Customers have needs and they desire solutions to their problems. In some cases, customers are in desperation. This is quite similar scenario to a Superhero story, where they go out of their way to save people who can’t save themselves.
You see these superheroes in movies, doing the impossible to save lives and meet people’s needs. In return, they receive admiration and praise. To succeed in the business world and gain customer satisfaction and loyalty, your company has to see itself as a superhero that always saves the day.
Just like Post purchase experiences of positive nature, it is a quite similar experience with superheroes and their ‘customers’ in the movies. Following the stories of 4 Superheroes, I’d like to share four characteristics or attributes that we can use to give our business superhero powers.
Spiderman: “With great power comes great responsibility.”
Superheroes are responsive to the needs of their customers. A Superhero Company must be very responsive to the needs of their customers and must be willing to go the extra mile to get their satisfaction and loyalty
Batman: “Why do we fall, Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.”
Superheroes are not above mistakes. They fail too. Sometimes they complicate problems too. But they’re resilient. They’re strong and focused primarily on their goal
They’re beacons of positive behavior. Always looking for a better way to achieve their goals. They never stop until they do.
As Businesses, our goals are majorly customer satisfaction and loyalty. No matter the outcome or failures of our business to achieve customer satisfaction and loyalty, we must be ever ready to pick ourselves up and try again.
Thor: “Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, should possess the power of Thor.”
In other words, whoever wants to run a business should be possess the products and services that will satisfy the customer. You can’t give what you don’t have. You want customer satisfaction and loyalty then you have to give it.
You have to be worthy of the customer hard earned money. It’s the only way you can be a Superhero Company.
Iron Man: “The truth is, I am Iron Man.”
You have to stand out for the truth. Offer the real and best products and shun away from adulteration or mediocrity. Most businesses after attaining customer loyalty will begin to adulterate their product quality.
A superhero never does this. Never should you.
In summary, companies can be just like superheroes. Responsibility, Resilience, Customer Worthiness and Integrity are the four attributes of superheroes we can imitate to create a superhero Company
