Tribute to Kobe: What Happens to a Dream Deferred?

Kobe bryant

Kobe Bryant, 41, passed away yesterday. He was truly a legend who gave so much passion for his dream. He chose and achieve greatness.

For us left behind, we have an important role to play. We must commit to doing our best every day and treat each day as a single life. We must never give up.

Here’s a poem called ‘Harlem’ by Langston Hughes that should keep us focused on never ever giving up on what matters most to us.

What happens to a dream deferred?
  Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
  Or fester like a sore—
  And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
  Or crust and sugar over—
  like a syrupy sweet?

  Maybe it just sags
  like a heavy load.

  Or does it explode?

RIP Kobe. The Black Mamba.
